New Patients at Advanced Pain & Spine Center

Starting chiropractic care doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. At Advanced Pain & Spine Center, our approach starts with listening to your story and how your symptoms affect your daily life. We look beyond where you hurt to understand what’s really going on, whether it’s neck pain, shoulder dysfunction, chronic low back issues, or something more complex.

You’ll be welcomed by name and guided through each step. Our team is warm, professional, and efficient, so you feel comfortable and cared for.

Getting Ready for Your Visit

We’ll email your new-patient paperwork so you can complete it in advance or upon arrival. Please bring your driver’s license and benefits card if you plan to use insurance. Our front desk will collect your information and confirm whether Dr. Sikanowicz is in-network with your plan.

Because coverage varies, especially for spinal versus extremity care, we won’t say “it’s all covered” until after your exam. We verify benefits based on your specific diagnosis and explain your options before you begin care. The final decision to proceed with care is always yours.

On Your First Visit

Your first appointment focuses on a thorough examination. Dr. Sikanowicz will review your history, listen carefully, and perform a detailed physical exam. If X-rays are needed, we’ll take them on-site the same day and review which films are necessary and the costs upfront. Many patients discover the cause of their pain isn’t where they feel it when we assess the whole body.

Reviewing Your Care Plan

After your exam and X-rays, you’ll relax on electric stimulation to ease tension, but you won’t receive an adjustment that first day. On your second visit, we’ll review what we found, outline your plan, and go over insurance coverage and financials before starting.

Your care may include gentle, low-force chiropractic adjustments such as Activator Methods®, Diversified manual techniques, or Orthostim for extremities. We frequently use Active Release Techniques for tight, dysfunctional muscles and may recommend shockwave therapy, PEMF, spinal decompression, or custom orthotics when clinically appropriate.
